The apparitions of Our Lady of Banneux, or Our Lady of the Poor, took place in Banneux, a rural village in Belgium, between January 15 and March 2, 1933. The Virgin Mary appeared a total of eight times to Mariette Beco, a young girl from a humble family. During these apparitions, Mary appeared as the "Virgin of the Poor," dressed in white with a blue sash, and conveyed messages of prayer, compassion, and the importance of caring for the sick and the suffering.
One of the significant aspects of these apparitions was Mary's request for a chapel to be built at the site, which later became the Shrine of Our Lady of Banneux. The shrine attracts pilgrims from various parts of the world seeking spiritual consolation, physical healing, and hope. The messages of simplicity, prayer, and concern for the less fortunate conveyed during the apparitions continue to resonate with Catholics, emphasizing the importance of faith, charity, and devotion to Mary.
Earrings are Nickel Free, Platinum Plated, and feature white and blue marbled resin. These stud earrings measure 10mm across.
Due to the handmade nature of these earrings, small variations may occur.
