Saint Philomena lived during the early days of the Church in the 3rd century. Even as a child, she possessed a deep faith and unwavering devotion to God. She was born to a noble family in Greece, but her true nobility lay in her love for Jesus Christ and she was martyred as a young girl.

Her relics were discovered in the 19th century, and taken to a small church in Mugnano, Italy. Since then, remarkable miracles have been attributed to her intercession. Countless people have flocked to her shrine, seeking her help in times of need. She became known as the "Wonder Worker"!
