I woke up to the news today that Blessed Carlo Acutis, who has been an inspiration to many, is soon to be canonized. This hits home for us, especially since our 12-year-old son loves video games and computers, just like Carlo did. It's so wonderful to have a modern saint to look up to!
Who Was Carlo Acutis?
Carlo Acutis was a regular kid from Milan, Italy, who had a special love for God and the Eucharist. He wasn't just about school and friends; he was also super into technology and video games. Carlo used his love for technology to create a website about Eucharistic miracles, which you can still view today.
Inspiration for Our Kids
For our son, and many kids today, Carlo shows that you can be into modern stuff and still have a strong faith. It's a great reminder that being passionate about God doesn't mean giving up what you love. Carlo managed to balance his video game time with his love for the Eucharist and helping others. He saw the internet as a way to share his faith, proving that holiness can fit right into our digital age.
